Mass Meeting & Worship Service

Keynote Speaker: Rabbi Fred Guttman

Mass meetings and worship services have historically been held on the night before marches and demonstrations across decades and movements to inspire participants, undergird the moral center of the Movement and give marchers the courage to continue the struggle. The Forward Together Moral Movement has followed this powerful model each year. This year we will hold the 10th annual Pre-Moral March Mass Meeting & Worship Service.

This event is open to people of all faiths and people not of faith. This service is designed to prepare us for the Moral March on Raleigh by spiritually invoking fellowship, confidence, strength, unity, love, peace, and a source of power beyond what can be seen with our eyes or calculate with our minds. This is a call for humility, prayer, redemption, solidarity, endurance, and spiritual connectivity as part of a larger civil rights tradition and prophetic journey toward justice.
