Over the past year, the North Carolina State Legislature, Gov. McCrory, Speaker Tillis, Senate Leader Berger, and Budget Director Art Pope have waged war on hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians through the passage of extreme and regressive laws – severe cuts in unemployment benefits for 170,000, the denial of Medicaid to nearly 500,000 people, increased taxes for working people, and the adoption of a budget that makes drastic cuts to public education. If that was not enough, these extremist politicians also passed the nation’s worst voter suppression bill

This is the time for vigorous and positive action!

We have challenged their immoral policies and laws through the Moral Monday/Forward Together Movement in the streets and in the courts. Our work continues. In the words of Dr. King, “The time is right to do the right thing.” Join us for Moral Monday Fayetteville HKonJ Local People’s Assembly on February 17th.  If you have questions, contact Jimmy Buxton, Branch President at 910.484.6166.
